Zurich is Europe's most
attractive economic region

According to the BAK's survey, Zurich has been named Europe's most attractive economic region.

This was announced by the private economic research institute BAK Basel Economics in a new survey about the economic attractiveness of European business locations. According to the BAK Attractiveness Index, the Zurich business region bested 191 European business locations, among them 22 metropolitan economic regions.

Zurich achieved an outstanding performance for indicators such as taxation (for individuals and businesses), access (globally and on the European continent), regulation (labor market, product registration) and innovation (patents, publications, Shanghai Index). Found to have the highest economic appeal to individuals and companies, Zurich managed an index score of 116 points, ahead of London (114) and Copenhagen (113). Other regions surveyed by BAK included Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Geneva, Helsinki, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, Manchester, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Rome, Stockholm, and Vienna.
