attractive business location Switzerland is still one of the most attractive business locations in the world. Switzerland sparks the spirit of innovation Switzerland and the US offer the most support to innovative companies and innovative players alike, as revealed by the «Innovationsindikator 2009» of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW). Switzerland is a top location for foreign investors Foreign investors consider Switzerland the world's most attractive business location due to its political stability, legal security, quality of life and social climate. Switzerland tops WEF competitiveness ranking The World Economic Forum's (WEF) recently published World Competitiveness Report shows Switzerland holding the top position when it comes to competitiveness of national economies. Of 133 countries surveyed, Switzerland has been ranked first. Switzerland: high productivity thanks to highly motivated workforce In a recent labor productivity survey in highly developed countries by the Business Environment Risk Intelligence (BERI), Switzerland is among the leading pack. Switzerland: Europe's most innovative country In the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) recent ranking of the world's most innovative countries, Switzerland is ranked second, following Japan. Zurich Airport: Europe's best Zurich Airport has been named best airport in Europe and ranked fourth worldwide in the recently published World Airport Awards 2009 report. Tax burden: Switzerland is below OECD average The recent OECD survey «Taxing Wages 2008» indicates that the tax burden on the average wage earner in Switzerland is moderate compared with most other OECD member states. Switzerland: top marks in tourism competitiveness Switzerland remains unbeaten in travel and tourism: the 3rd Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report ranks Switzerland 1st for the third time in a row. Switzerland again among most globalized countries Switzerland belongs to the most globalized countries worldwide, according to the KOF Index of Globalization 2009. Switzerland: European innovation champion Switzerland is the European champion of innovative performance, according to the European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS). |
